Cricket Betting at win taka — place bets every step of the way from T20 to Test
Bet on BPL, IPL and international cricket across markets including match winner, toss and top batsman. From live in-play to multi bets — everything in one place at win taka.
Cricket's Three Formats and Major Competitions
Cricket is played in three distinct formats, and the betting options differ for each. win taka offers separate markets for every format, suitable for both experienced and new bettors.
Twenty20
Just 20 overs per innings means a match can finish in under three hours. In this fast-paced format, any delivery can change the game, which makes live betting especially popular here. BPL and IPL are primarily played in the T20 format.
One Day Match
Strategy plays a bigger role in this 50-over format. The middle overs often determine the pace of the match. The ICC World Cup is held in ODI format. The longer duration of the match gives more opportunity to bet across different markets.
Test Cricket
Five-day Test cricket is the oldest format. Alongside a match winner, a draw is also a possible result. Pitch behaviour, weather and session-by-session performance all influence betting decisions.
BPL, IPL and International Cricket
The Bangladesh Premier League (BPL) generates special excitement among Tigers fans every season. The Indian Premier League (IPL) is the most-watched T20 league in South Asia, featuring the best cricketers in the world. Interest is highest around Bangladesh national team matches at the T20 World Cup and other ICC events.
win taka lets you bet across various markets on matches in these competitions. Choose your preferred tournament and place your bets — read the terms and conditions for full details on betting rules.
7 Popular Markets You Can Bet On
Cricket betting is not limited to match win or loss — there are many other types of markets available. Here is a brief overview of seven common markets.
Match Winner
A straightforward bet on which team will win the match. In T20 and ODI, only two outcomes are possible; in Test matches, a draw is also an option. Example: win if team B wins, lose the bet if team A wins.
Toss Winner
A bet on the outcome of the toss before the match begins. The toss is a distinct moment in cricket, as winning it can be important depending on the pitch and weather conditions.
Top Batsman
A bet on which batter will score the most runs in an innings or across the entire match. Many bettors choose this market by considering a specific batter's form and the pitch conditions.
Total Runs Over/Under
A bet on whether the total runs scored will be over or under a set line. Example: will the combined runs from both innings be more or less than 320.
Multi Bet (Multiple Bets)
Multiple bets from different matches are combined into one. If all selections are correct, the total return is much higher — but if even one is wrong, the entire bet is lost. See the odds section for an example.
Top Bowler
A bet on which bowler will take the most wickets in a match or innings. Factoring in the advantage of bowling on a fast wicket can make this market more interesting.
Betting Exchange
Here you can bet not only against the bookmaker but also against other bettors. BACK means betting on a team to win, LAY means betting on that team to lose. Details are provided in the odds section.
Decimal, Fractional and American Odds
Odds are displayed in three different ways across platforms. All three express the same probability in different forms. The examples below use two cases to explain this.
Decimal 3.00 = Fractional 2/1 = American +200
If this bet wins, total return is ৳600 — comprising ৳400 profit and the original ৳200 stake. If the bet loses, the full ৳200 is lost.
American "+" odds indicate the profit you would make on a ৳100 bet. +200 means ৳200 profit on a ৳100 bet.
Decimal 1.50 = Fractional 1/2 = American -200
If the bet wins, total return is ৳300 — profit of ৳100. American "-" odds show how much you need to stake to make ৳100 profit — here, -200 means you must bet ৳200 to make ৳100 profit.
Fractional odds are more common in England; decimal odds are standard in Bangladesh and most online betting platforms.
Decimal odds on three separate matches: 1.40, 1.60, 1.90
Combined odds: 1.40 × 1.60 × 1.90 = 4.26 (approximately). A ৳100 bet returns ৳426 if all three are correct. But if any one is wrong, the full ৳100 is lost.
Betting on Team A at decimal odds of 1.80:
BACK: ৳1,000 bet — if Team A wins, ৳800 profit before commission; if they lose, you lose ৳1,000.
LAY: Against a bettor's ৳1,000 stake — if Team A does not win, ৳1,000 profit before commission; if they do win, you pay out ৳800.
Odds shift when wickets fall — how in-play betting works
A distinctive feature of cricket is that odds can change with every ball or every over. When a batter is dismissed, a boundary is hit or a wicket falls, live odds adjust immediately.
Example: Team A is 140 for 3 after 15 overs — their odds of winning might be 1.6 at that point. But if two more wickets fall in the next two balls, the odds could quickly move to 2.5 or higher. In-play betting requires you to keep these changes in mind when making decisions.
Live betting is for entertainment only — it moves fast, so it is important to bet within your limits. Visit the responsible gaming page for tips on managing your betting.
How Betting Differs in Football and Other Sports
Alongside cricket, win taka also offers betting on football and other sports. However, the betting structure varies for each sport.
Football typically has three possible outcomes — home win, away win or draw. In T20 cricket there is no draw, only a win or a loss. Test cricket, however, allows for a draw, so a three-outcome market is available there as well.
In football, half-time score, goalscorer and card markets are popular. The cricket equivalents include over-by-over run rate, wickets or runs in a specific powerplay. Because the pace and strategy of each sport differ, the style of betting differs significantly too.

Cricket vs Football — Key Differences
- Cricket T20/ODI has only two outcomes; football has three
- Cricket has more detailed innings-based live markets
- Football's half-time and full-time markets are separately popular
- Weather and pitch conditions directly affect cricket odds
- Multi bets are available in both sports
Some Practical Cricket Betting Advice
- Start with small bets: Place smaller amounts when getting familiar with a new market or format. Set a budget and stick to it.
- Understand one market well: It is better to start with simpler markets like match winner or over/under. Avoid multi bets until you have a good grasp of multiple markets.
- Understand why odds change: Odds move quickly in live betting. Events such as wickets, rain or injuries directly affect the odds.
- You must win all selections in a multi bet: One wrong pick in a multi bet means the entire bet is lost. So if you are not confident about every selection, it is better to avoid multi bets.
- Betting is entertainment, not income: Cricket betting is for enjoyment — treating it as a reliable source of income can cause problems. Bet within your limits.
